The Assegai is the ultimate downhill tire, which was co-developed by former downhill world champion Greg Minnaar. There he let his many years of experience in racing flow into it. The basic idea behind it was to get the best out of already known Maxxis profiles. The well-running cleats of the Minion DHF and Minion DHR II were implemented in the middle of the tread. This gives excellent rolling on hard surfaces, but also grip on wet roots and stones. Slightly shaped side knobs on the HighRoller take care of fast corners. With these you have a clearly defined limit area and sufficient reserves at all times. Finally, the Shorty adds its profile height and ensures sufficient traction even on deep forest floors. With this intelligent mix you can really let it rip.
